Barrus offers a comprehensive range of Impact Testers and Charpy Impact Testers designed to determine the impact strength of plastics and metals. These testing machines are essential for evaluating the resistance of materials or components to rapid loads under varying environmental conditions. Since many materials are exposed to fluctuating temperatures in their everyday applications, it’s crucial to assess their behavior across different temperature ranges.

The Kick series of pendulum impact testers are equipped with safety enclosures and offer a wide range of energy levels, from 0.5J to 750J, making them versatile tools for conducting standard-compliant Charpy and IZOD impact tests.

With their precision, safety features, and user-friendly interface, these impact testers are ideal for industries requiring accurate and repeatable impact strength measurements.

Melt Flow Indexers (MFI)

Melt Flow Indexers (MFIs) are crucial tools used in manufacturing, especially in processes like injection molding that involve resins. Analyzing flowability is essential in plastic material testing, measuring the viscosity of heat-softening polymers at specific temperatures. MFIs assess material flowability, ensuring the material reaches even intricate mold sections.

The Barrus Flow family offers cost-effective, highly precise solutions for plastic material flow index determination, covering both MFI/MFR and MVI/MVR measurements.

These instruments meet or exceed international standards such as EN ISO 1133, ASTM D1238, and GB/T 3682 A & B methods, providing highly accurate results. With a wide measurement range of 0.1 to 100g/10 minutes for MFI/MFR and 1 to 150 cm³/10 minutes for MVI/MVR, they accommodate various plastic materials.

The MFIs feature efficient automatic cutting with adjustable timing accurate to 0.01 seconds and precise temperature control within ≤0.2℃, ensuring consistent and reliable results. Their user-friendly interface, equipped with a large, colorful touchscreen, simplifies operation, making plastic material testing straightforward and efficient.
